M&A Bootcamp (Hosted by Connectwise)
Last month, Managing Partner Jay Jung and Director of Corporate Development Justin DePardo, traveled to Tampa to participate in the Connectwise M&A bootcamp, a favored event for our ongoing strategic initiatives.
Jay presented on “Sell-side Readiness: How to Maximize Value as you Prepare for Sale in 3-5 years”. There were three core messages, only so much you can fit in a 45-minute presentation.
- Manage your finances like private equity would including pipeline management
- Acquire a smaller peer and use debt financing to maximize value impact
- Restructure to a C-Corp and take advantage of QSBS to get $10+ million in capital gains exemption
Each one of these has the potential to add millions to the seller’s value, which is why we talked about these three topics.
If you are interested in learning more about QSBS, how to get debt financing for acquisitions, or think this is a good topic for your networking and peer groups, please reach out to learn more and schedule a group presentation.
